Background and Aim:The level of political participation reduces people's skepticism towards the government, and it is one of the crucialsigns for analyzing the performance of the government both domestically and internationally, and an important factor in the orders and policies of governments to increase public participation and improve the level of conscious democracy in society. And following that is the legitimacy of the government and the satisfaction of the citizens. The widespread use of the Internet and the widespread use of this tool in civil-political interactions, as well as the lack of a comprehensive study of the moderators of this relationship in previous studies, suggests the necessity of conducting this research. Materials and Methods: In order to investigate the effect of the research variables on each other, using the descriptive research method, 340 students of the Islamic Azad University of Bandar Anzali branch were randomly selected and the data was collected through a survey. Data analysis was done by structural equation modeling method using Smart PLS software. Ethical Considerations:Allethical considerations have been observed. Findings & Conclusion:The findings of the research showed that although the use of the Internet has a positive and significant effect on political participation in general; but the intensity of this relationship is weak. Also, the use of the Internet did not have a significant effect on offline participation and civic participation in the studied students.
