Background and Aim: Sex robots, as modern self-satisfaction tools, represent a transformative advancement in technologies related to sexual desires. This research examines the jurisprudential and legal evaluation of sexual relations with sex robots under the framework of the criminal and moral systems in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Materials and Methods: The research method in this article was descriptive-analytical. Ethical Considerations All ethical principles have been followed in writing this article. Findings & Conclusion:This article concludes that interactions with sex robots are excluded from offenses such as adultery, sodomy, and lesbianism ("Hudud crimes") due to the requirement of "human identity." Moreover, modern crimes like non-adulterous illicit relationships (Article 637 of the Iranian Penal Code) and public display of forbidden acts (Article 638) also cannot include interactions with sex robots due to the conditions of human identity and public exposure. From a jurisprudential perspective, sexual use of sex robots can be equated to masturbation, which, while religiously prohibited, is not legally criminalized and thus cannot be pursued in criminal courts. Furthermore, the principle of legality prevents reliance on Islamic sources for criminalization in the absence of specific legislation. Finally, the study proposes legal and cultural recommendations to mitigate potential harms associated with this emerging phenomenon.
