Background and Aim:The article examines the regulations governing water resources and navigation in international waterways and their impact on sustainable water resource management. It also analyzes the deliberations of the Water Resources Committee and the evolution of international water law in this domain. Materials and Methods: Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive study. Ethical Considerations:All ethical principles governing research have been observed in the presentation of this Translation. Findings: The final report of the Water Resources Committee was presented in April 2004 and approved by the International Law Association (ILA) in August the same year. This report emphasized stakeholder participation, advancements in environmental considerations, and legal requirements for sustainable management of international water resources. Conclusion:The study highlights the evolution of legal frameworks for international water resources and the significant role of ILA recommendations in shaping international institutions. These recommendations could contribute to the development of global regulations and the establishment of specific institutions for managing shared water resources.
